Dewalt announced a new cordless vacuum with the Dewalt Flexvolt 60V Dust Extractor model DCV585. The DCV585B model number is the bare tool only which is priced at $349 and the DCV585T2 model number is the kit with two HEPA filters and two Flexvolt batteries and charger for $549.
The new Dewalt Flexvolt 60V Dust Extractor DCV585 has a powerful rate of suction at 125 CFM which is very powerful, and not just for a cordless vac but a corded one as well. What’s interesting is that Dewalt used a brushless motor on their vac, most likely to push out that kind of performance, which leaves me wondering why other manufacturers are so reluctant to use brushless motors on cordless vacs. If anything vacs need brushless motors the most.
This dust extractor has a smallish 2 gallon capacity tank and also can pick up wet messes as it’s also a wet dry vac. There’s also T-Stak compatibility so you can stack this Dewalt 60V dust extractor on top of your T-Stak boxes and also stack other T-Stak boxes on top of the Dust Extractor and lock them all together, very cool.
One very cool feature is that it comes with a remote control so you can start the vac remotely and you can also pair it with a Dewalt Wireless Tool Control Enabled Tool.
