FastCap Glu-Bot – The Glue Bottle Advanced

Here’s a glue bottle I’ve seen a handful of YouTuber’s use, the Glu-Bot from FastCap and the little glue bottle has captured my attention.

It offers quite a few features not found on the standard glue bottle. First of all it has spout on the side that can be used to squeeze glue in any orientation of the bottle, even when upright. This allows you to apply glue even on vertical surfaces.

The way it works is there’s a main glue chamber and the spout is connected to the bottom of the main glue chamber, this gravity feeds the glue to the spout. To apply glue upright or sideways all you do is squeeze the bottle and out the glue goes. Another neat feature is that after squeezing the bottle, the glue runs down the tube so that it doesn’t stay at the tip and clog up the tip. A cap is included with the Glu-Bot so as to not dry out the glue in the spout chamber.

The tips on the bottle are also replaceable making the use of other shaped tips easy to swap out and so you don’t have to use different bottles for different methods of applying glue.

The base of the bottle is wider to help stabilize the bottle better to make it less prone to tipping.

And the main reservoir has it’s own large opening to easily fill and replace glue. Another benefit of there being a separate glue cover is so that the glue that runs down the spout doesn’t have to potential to gunk up the glue cap.

The original Glu-Bot can hold 16 ounces of glue and it retails for around $11.99 and there’s also a smaller 4 ounce version called the Babe-Bot for a bit less.

My thoughts – I’m actually thinking about getting one. I’ve entertained the idea of getting one for quite some time but back then my wood working projects have been sparse but now I’ve been doing a bit more projects lately including one you’ll see a video of soon enough, which would warrant a need or make an excuse to upgrade my current glue bottle. I currently use a standard Elmer’s wood glue bottle – just standard edition, nothing fancy- and would like to upgrade.
