Hart has a very interesting double ended nail set that will save space in your tool box by replacing 2 tools with one tool. This double ended nail set includes a 1/32″ and a 3/32″ nail set tips so you grab one tool that can tackle the job of two. Switching between sizes is very easy, you just pull on the spring loaded knurled striking zone which makes way for the double ended nail set to spin. Then place the place the end you want to use facing out, while the opposite tip faces inward. Then release the spring loaded knurled striking zone to cover the tip you will not be using, which locks the tool in place. It’s construction is very sturdy and well built and uses solid materials such as metal for the double ended nail set and striking zone, while the center section that holds it all together is made up of plastic.
In use I felt right at home with this double ended set when I installed trim around a newly installed pre-hung door. It made it quick and easy to sink nails below the surface of the molding.
