Hilti not wanting to be outdone by Makita and Dewalt has also introduced a new cordless rear handle circular saw similar to a worm drive saw with their very own Hilti SC 60w-A36 Cordless 36V Rear Handle Circular Saw model.

Hilti’s cordless rear handle design follows the traditional rear handle design of Dewalt’s and Makita’s cordless rear handle models by giving the saw a long rear handle that gives it that “worm drive” style look to the saw. Just like Makita’s and Dewalt’s models, Hilti’s is also not a rear worm drive model as it’s suedo worm drive looks are just cosmetic. Where the motor and worm drive gear box would be, instead houses the large 36V battery that powers this saw. It’s still sporting a sidewinder style motor configuration just like Makita’s and Dewalt’s rear handle models. It’s long rear handle and left blade configuration will make it right at home to all current worm drive users looking to go cordless.
