Klein Tools is always busy coming up with new tools and today is no different as they’ve got a new hard hat accessory that’s got my attention. They’ve come up with a way to keep hard hat users heads cool with a new cooling fan accessory 60155.

As we can see in the image above, the new Klein cooling fan accessory mounts directly to Klein safety helmets and hard hats via their hard hat accessory mounting points. It’s a two piece design with the actual fan in the back with the external battery pack mounted in the helmets front accessory mount and tethered together. The fan accessory features two centrifugal fans and have tubes that go around the hard hat brim and direct air up into the interior of the helmet and pushes air around your head towards the front. This is a good idea since the suspended design of hard hats means there’s a slight gap between the users head and the actual hat itself and Kleins cooling fan takes advantage of this by pushing cooler air in.
The above image shows a breakdown of all the included parts that make up the cooling fan and comes with a few sets of air tubes. The external battery pack gives the cooling fan up to 6 hours of not only powers the included cooling fan but can also be used to power other things with its two input/output USB-C ports. One thing to note about Kleins cooling fan for hard hats is that it’s designed to be mounted on Klein hard hats and safety helmets using the built in accessory mounts. And although the cooling fan and battery take up both front and back helmet accessory mounts, Klein was pretty smart by adding an extra accessory mount onto the battery pack and cooling fan so you can still use other hard hat accessories like lights and such.
