Glenn spotted a new 12V laser from Makita over in Australia, the Makita SK209GDZ 12V CXT Self-Leveling Multi-Directional Green Beam Line Laser.
The new laser shoots green lasers and can cast 3 separate beams at 3 different axis for your laser leveling needs. This appears to be their first model made to utilize their newest 12V slide pack CXT battery packs and probably done to compete with Dewalt as they also have 12V lasers that are powered by their 12V power tool batteries.

Although this new laser was spotted in Australia, the good news is that it will be sold here in the USA. I found documentation from the Makita USA website that shows it will be available in summer 2017 however it seems to be delayed so stay tuned.

These have finally just been released in Australia and they are not inexpensive. $1199AUD, But they are throwing in a basic one battery, CXT drill driver kit as an introductory offer.
