Earlier this year I wrote about a new Milwaukee M18 Fuel miter saw that was spotted overseas and there was hardly any info on it other than pictures of its existance. There was some speculation that the blade capacity could have been 10 inch or even possibly 12 inches. We also didn’t know if this new M18 Fuel miter saw would ever make it here to north america as its been years since the original M18 miter saw was available in the UK but yet still hasn’t made its appearance stateside. But luckily it was announced at this years Milwaukee New Product Symposium 2016 event. The new saw is in fact a reality here in the USA and is a Milwaukee M18 Fuel 10″ Miter Saw, so those that speculated it would be a 10 inch miter saw are correct.
What we do know so far is that it goes above and beyond other 18V/20V and 36V cordless miter saws on the market at the moment with a 10 inch blade. So far 7-1/4″ cordless miter saws are in abundance with the largest blade for a cordless miter saw is up at 8-1/4″, so Milwaukee’s 10 inch miter saw will definitely get everyones attention. It’s also interesting to note that they managed to power such a large blade with an 18V battery! Although this new cordless miter saw isn’t a full fledged 12″ miter saw, Milwaukee claims that users will be able to ditch their corded saws in favor for this 10″ model since it has a large horizontal cut capacity to be able to cut 2×12 dimensional lumber thanks to it being a sliding miter saw and can cut stock up to 6″ vertically.
It will also be able to get some serious runtime thanks to it’s brushless Fuel motor paired with a M18 High Demand 9.0 ah battery pack to get up to 400 cuts. This will no doubt give users the ability to work all day with a single battery charge given the battery they use is a M18 HD 9.0 battery.
Luckily we wont have to wait so long for this new Milwaukee M18 Fuel 10″ Miter Saw because it will be available this year a few months away on September 2016.

Besides the news of the new Milwaukee M18 Fuel 10″ Miter Saw, there were other new products available at the show such as a new Milwaukee M18 Fuel Drywall Screwgun and Milwaukee M18 drywall cut out tool for drywall applications, and totally new Milwaukee M18 Fuel outdoor power equipment. There will be a new Leaf Blower, String Trimmer and 24 inch Hedge Trimmer – all powered by Milwaukee M18 Fuel brushless motors and M18 batteries. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend this years event so I don’t have any photos to share with you guys but a quick google search will reveal pictures from other sources that did attend the event.
Milwaukee M18 Fuel Drywall Screwgun
