Milwaukee recently announced a new cordless power tool that many fans have been asking for, it’s the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 6-1/2” Plunge Track Saw 2831-21.

Track saws give users the ability to make straight cuts just like a table saw can and you are no longer tied to bring the material to the saw, the saw itself is portable enough to go the material. Just lay down the track, clamp in place, and plunge and cut straight lines.
Milwaukee’s track saw features a brushless motor for strong cutting performance that’s strong enough to cut hardwoods like oak and walnut up to 2 inch thick. It uses a 6-1/2″ circular saw blade. Track saws are also designed to plunge into the material and thus for this reason do not have lower blade guards as a traditional circular saw does. The upper blade guard surrounds the blade better making for better dust containment and extraction via the vac port. Milwaukee says it has up to 90 % dust collection. It comes included with a dust bag similar to those found on a miter saw. The max cut capacity is 2-1/8″.
It will be available in October 2022 in kit form for $549 and comes with an HO XC 6.0ah battery, rapid charger, and PACKOUT XL tool box.
