Milwaukee has announced a new cordless sander, the M18 Fuel belt sander 2832-20.

TTI brands such as Ridgid and Ryobi already had 18V battery powered brushless belt sanders so it only makes sense that Milwaukee joined all the fun. Milwaukee’s model is also a brushless sander and just like the other two TTI brands, it also uses a 3×18″ belt which is slightly shorter in length than the more common 3×21″ sanding belts, and even that is the smaller version of the 4×24″ belts.
Milwaukee says that their model offers users the most powerful and versatile cordless belt sander and it generates performance similar to a corded 8 amp belt sander for fast material removal. It has a belt speed range of 700 to 1,350 feet per minute. The pummel hand grip can slide back allowing users to work closer to a wall, similar to how the Ryobi model can, except the Milwaukee’s knob slides back while the Ryobi pivots upward out of the way. For dust collection, it comes with a dust collection bag and also includes a vacuum hose attachment. Dust collection is rated for up to over 80% dust collection.
To run, it uses a trigger and variable speed dial combo. There are two LED lights, one facing the front and right side for extra illumination. It also features tool free belt change.
It will launch July 2022 for $279 as a baretool.
