Milwaukee’s cordless M18 Fuel compact router goes head to head against rival brands like Makita and Dewalt by offering a fully featured, high performance cordless trim router. They do this by featuring a powerful brushless motor that not only has best in class RPM speeds from 10,000 all the way up to 31,000 but is said to be as powerful as a corded 1.25 horsepower trim router. Variable speeds are selected via side mounted dial with 6 speed settings. The powerful brushless motor is also efficient and has the runtime to trim up to 250 feet of 3/8” round-overs in red oak per charge with an XC 5.0 ah battery.

The router is designed with an array of additional features to improve the user experience including a micro-adjust dial and macro-adjust button for fast, accurate depth adjustments during highly accurate work, a sturdy round 4” sub-base plate for stability, and dual-LED lights to illuminate the work surface. The 5-3/4” sub-baseplate accepts 1-1/4” template bushings. A dust extraction attachment is included with the router adding to the routers value and is something that has to be bought separately on Dewalt’s trim router system.

And just like Makita’s and Dewalt’s cordless trim routers who have optional plunge bases, Milwaukee also has an optional plunge base and also an offset base accessory that can be bought separately to complete the router set.

The Milwaukee M18 Fuel Compact Router 2723-20 will be priced at $179 as a baretool and will be available in October 2019.
