New Ford 12V & 20V Cordless Power Tools + Hand Tools & Electric Power Tools

American car manufacturer Ford is known for their Trucks and Vehicles but did you know that they will soon come out with a big line up of tools from tool storage, hand tools, electric power tools, and even cordless battery powered power tools. As part of their cordless power tools they will have 12V, 18V and 20V power tools. In this article we’re going to focus on thier 12V and 20V cordless power tools.

As part of their 20V cordless power tool line, they will be starting out with just 3 cordless power tools which will include a 1/2″ compact drill/driver, a 1/4″ impact driver, and a 1/2″ drive impact wrench.

Not many tools with only 3 to start off with on their Ford 20V line and there’s even less on their 12V line with only 2 cordless power tools to start off with which are two 12V drills, a drill/driver and hammer drill. Specs are below and they will feature 3/8″ plastic chucks and 265 in-lbs of max torque which is about average for pro 12V drills. Although the 12V hammer drill shows more torque than the drill driver, I believe this is simply a typo as it shows the same stats as the 20V drill shown above. One thing that’s interesting is that Ford decided to use slide pack batteries similar to the Dewalt 12V Max cordless power tools and the new Makita CXT 12V line so that the tools can easily stand up.
