New Poulan Pro 58V Outdoor Power Equipment – Mower / String Trimmer / Leaf Blower

Poulan has a new line of cordless outdoor power equipment running on 58V which they call their Poulan Pro line. They are starting the new 58v line with a 21 inch mower, a 15 inch string trimmer and a leaf blower. All three have very good performance stats and at a good price which I will expand on each below. Currently Lowe’s and True Value stores offer them.

The Poulan Pro 58v lawn mower has a 21 inch steel deck and comes bundled as a kit with a 5.2ah battery, charger and all for $399. That’s a pretty good value if you ask me as most 20+ inch cordless mowers used to be around $500 and up. This mower has a more traditional gas engine mower looking design coupled with it’s steel deck will make it hard to distinguish from a gas powered mower at first glance. Has the usual bag, mulch and side discharge features and it’s large tires will help make it easy to push.

The Poulan Pro 58v string trimmer is a dual line (o.095″ line) 15 inch string trimmer and comes bundled with a 2.6ah battery and charger for only $199. This price makes it cheaper than similar brands introductory prices although most 54V+ brands string trimmers can be found for the same price in kit form but that’s after price drops. Poulan’s 58V string trimmer does not mention it being a brushless model, this is something you might want especially since brushless motors are more efficient and usually give more runtime per charge. Poulan claims you may get up to 27 minutes of runtime.

The Poulan Pro 58v leaf blower is also priced at $199 as a kit with 2.6ah battery and charger. This model has some very impressive specs and to start, this is the only one of the three that has a brushless motor and pushes out 675 CFM at 130 MPH! That’s a lot of CFM’s at a strong 130 MPH! With stats like this it might even be more powerful than other Backpack blowers. Poulan claims a 2 hour and 15 minute runtime which I have a hard time believing. But who knows, it might be true but most likely at the slowest of speeds.
