New Ridgid 18V Brushless 7-1/4″ Sliding Miter Saw

The news is spreading that Ridgid will be releasing their own 18V sliding miter saw with a brushless motor. This new cordless 18V miter saw will join the ranks of the few power tool companies releasing cordless miter saws such as Makita, Dewalt, Milwauee, Ryobi and a few others. It will feature a common size 7-1/4″ blade just like the other GenX5 Ridgid 18V circular saws and one ups most of the competition with a brushless motor on their miter saw.

Right now most cordless miter saws are brushed models, with Makita having one brushless 7-1/4″ X2 model out right now and a new 6-1/2″ brushless miter saw coming out in Japan. Soon joining the brushless cordless miter saw ranks will be Ridgid’s new 18V miter saw along with Dewalt’s latest Flexvolt model featuring a brushless motor, 12″ blade, and a whopping 120V and Milwaukee’s soon to come M18 Fuel brushless 10″ miter saw.

So far, I’ve only heard of Ridgid’s new cordless 18V brushless sliding miter saw and no official features and specifications are out yet so we’ll both have to wait patiently for official info but if you’re like me, you’re definitely stoked at the new news regarding Ridgid’s soon to come brushless 18V miter saw.

For now, enjoy taking a look at the AEG brushless 18V miter saw below for a quick sneek peak. And just to give you a heads up, AEG is Ridgid’s name overseas.

A big thanks to Facebook follower Alain L. for providing the AEG branded 18V brushless miter saw to my attention!
