Ryobi has a new 18V 2 Gallon Chemical Sprayer model P2830 . This news comes soon after we learned about the new backpack model.
It is a new model as this one is a 2 gallon handheld model which doubles the capacity of the original model. Also important to note is that this new sprayer includes the new 2.0 ah battery that was recently released.
Features include an adjustable brass nozzle, detachable 2 gallon tank, cap that doubles as a measuring cup, a shoulder strap, and runtime good for spraying up to 30 gallons. Comes as a kit with 2.0ah battery and charger.
This will be available Spring 2018 with a retail price of $89.97.

Looks basically like the old one but with a little larger tank. My complaint with the old one was runtime. The rather noisy pump runs all the time whether you’re spraying or not. I’m sure you can pump 30 gallons like they say if you leave the trigger held constantly for continuous pumping until the battery dies. That’s not generally how you use a sprayer. The time until the battery dies is not that long in minutes and you’re constantly listening to that noisy motor. It needs to be redesigned with a smaller, quieter motor that runs just when needed. Frankly, the built-on electric sprayer that comes with many weed-n-feed jugs that runs off a triple a or two works better.
