New Ryobi P239 18V Brushless Impact Driver

Ryobi has a new 18V brushless impact driver model P239 that was spotted in a new two tool combo kit which is model P1834. The new 2 tool combo kit includes a new Ryobi 18V brushless 1/2″ compact drill driver model P252 which I also discussed in a separate article.

The new Ryobi P239 18V Brushless Impact Driver is interesting because it boasts 1,800 in-lbs of torque and is a single speed impact driver. Single speed as in it does not have multiple selectable speeds but it does have a variable speed trigger to adjust the speed of driving at will.

It has many carry over features from other of their cordless tools such as the new slimmer at top contoured handle grip, belt clip, LED light, magtray and built in bit holder.

  • Brushless impact driver: 1,800 lbs. torque
  • Brushless impact driver: variable speed trigger
  • Both: belt clip mounts to both sides for convenience
  • Both: new and improved GRIPZONE with micro texture for optimum grip and user comfort
  • Both: magtray magnetic holder for convenient storage of screws and bits

A big thanks to Daniel and Jon for spotting this!

Do you know if this or the new brushless drill have the extra contacts for the new batteries? Or is that just the case with their higher end brushless tools?

I looked up the manual for the impact driver and Yes it does have the two extra contacts for the new batteries.
