I got word from our friend in France Thomas Pouliquen that the new 9.0 ah 18Volt batteries from AEG and Ryobi will be available in early 2018. To go even further we have proof from sales flyers that the AEG 9.0 battery will be available in February of 2018 while the Ryobi 9.0 ah battery will be available in April 2018.
I know that most of you that frequent Tool Craze are in the USA, this news is of interest to us because what happens outside of the USA impacts us as well when it comes to the tool industry. We already knew that Ryobi and Ridgid were coming out with 9.0 ah batteries but the question has always been when. Well now we know when they’ll be available around the world which should give us a clue as to when we’ll get them here in the USA which should be around the same time frame more or less. If you’re wondering why I mentioned Ridgid, that’s because AEG and Ridgid are the same thing.
