I was strolling the blue home improvement store the other day and on my way out I noticed a coffee maker for jobsite use called the OXX Coffeeboxx.
I didn’t have too much time since I was in a hurry to finish my project at home but I assumed it was a portable battery powered coffee maker however my assumptions were completely wrong as it’s corded only. Although not cordless coffee maker, it’s still a very interesting coffee machine since it’s been touted by OXX as the “world’s toughest coffee maker” designed for portable use and is very rugged. According to their claims, it’s crush proof up to 1,500 lbs, spill proof, rust proof, water resistant, dust proof and impact resistant.
It’s also very convenient as it uses Keurig K-Cup pods for quick and easy brewing. It takes 30 seconds to preheat and just 75 seconds to brew. You can choose from 8, 10 and 12 oz brewing sizes and the cup side can accommodate up to 8″ tall mugs. Other features include a 2.5 liter water tank that’s sealed, retractable 3 foot cord so no need to wrap cords, the cup side has a flip open door that closes shut when storing and a large carry handle up top. It also comes in hi viz green for easy spotting on the jobsite, black ops black for that stealth look and desert tan for the adventurous.
As with many Keurig coffee makers, it’s not cheap and is priced at $229 but then again, would a standard coffee maker survive the abuse on a jobsite? Probably not and the OXX Coffeeboxx seems up to the task.
