Ridgid GenX5 18V Brushless 1/2 Inch Impact Wrench

Earlier this year we learned about the AEG 18V brushless 1/2 inch impact wrench over in Australia and we were wondering when the USA Ridgid variant would come out. Ridgid and AEG are the same thing in case your wondering. Joshua B. wrote in about the USA model Ridgid variant R86011B under the GenX5 branding.

Usually when AEG models become Ridgid models everything is the same except for the cosmetics. They both share the same shape with a slightly different color scheme and branding although the USA Ridgid model gets a couple of upgrades. First of all it gets slightly more torque at 400 ft lbs and gets an extra fourth mode versus only three on the AEG model.

RIDGID presents the GEN5X brushless 18-Volt 4-Mode compact impact wrench. This compact and lightweight cordless tool delivers 400 ft. / lbs. of torque to power through the most demanding applications. It comes loaded with features like exclusive grip light technology that engages the LED light simply by holding the tool, innovative hex grip for maximum comfort and a die-cast gear box for increased durability and professional quality. Best of all, with RIDGID’s lifetime service agreement, you can count on free batteries, free parts and free service for the entire life of your tool.
