Ryobi has announced another 18V tool with the PAD01B bluetooth speaker. They give it a strange name calling it a speaker with bluetooth wireless technology, that’s literally it’s name.

The new Ryobi 18V bluetooth speaker is just as it’s name suggests, it’s a speaker that features bluetooth for wireless connectivity. It may look like a small radio but it lacks the ability to receive and play radio signals making it only a speaker. It sounds like it should be a good speaker at that with two 3″ speakers and it can connect via bluetooth up to 125 feet away! Ryobi claims up to over 10 hours of runtime with a 4.0 ah battery.
Other features include a 2.1 amp USB port on top to charge mobile devices and it doesn’t feature an LCD display but does offer the usual set of buttons to power the device, control volume, play/pause, and even skip tracks forward and reverse. The battery slot is on the back and has a side carry handle.
Pricing is set to be $79 and it appears to be available now.
