Ryobi takes their cordless hand vacuums very seriously. Why just last year they came out with several of them. This year is no different as we have a new cordless 18V hand vac from Ryobi. This new model brings some new design features.
Ryobi 18V HP Brushless Jobsite Hand Vacuum – Features
The design is much different than your typical dust buster style design. I greatly appreciate the new canister and intake design. While it does make the unit larger and possibly heavier to some extent. Having the intake separate from the intake means you wont have to deal with debris wanting to make its way out of the intake thanks to the laws of gravity.
The canister has easy access to empty and service the included pleated filter.
Unlike most hand vacuums, this model comes with several accessories. They include a wide floor nozzle and crevice nozzle. Plus flexible 5 foot hose with 1-1/4 diameter and extension tube.
You can operate the hand vac like a hand vacuum or hook up the hose and nozzles for added functionality. Great for vacuuming up carpets and upholstery, especially inside your automobile.
The long extension tube allows for use as a stick vac.
This helps so you can vacuum items on the floor while standing upright.
Ryobi 18V HP Brushless Jobsite Hand Vacuum – Performance
Unlike their larger vacuums, Ryobi doesn’t normally list suction performance in CFM when it comes to their hand vacs. They provide a marketing statement saying that this delivers three times more suction power. I really dislike statements like these as it doesn’t tell us much. Especially when they don’t provide a model to compare to. I would prefer if they listed suction performance in CFM’s as is typically done with larger vacuums to provide a better measurement of suction performance. It does feature a brushless motor.
It does come with aa HEPA filter rated to trap up to 99.9% of dust and debris.
