Ryobi’s latest 18V tool is an interesting one.
It starts life out as a creeper so you can get under your car for easy access. It has chemical resistant cushions and heavy duty 3″ casters for durability and mobility.
It can also fold to become a seat.
This gives you easy access to do work that’s low to the ground but without breaking your back. It has a 400 lbs weight capacity meaning this seat doesn’t discriminate, even if you’re lookin kinda thick!
You’re probably wondering, a creeper and seat don’t need power, so why is it an 18V tool?
Good question, and a battery is used to provide juice to the two built in LED lights, thus giving this creeper/seat added functionality and practicality. The light is hands free thanks to the gooseneck that allows you to aim the light where you need it. The lights offer up to 800 lumens of brightness.
For even more added functionality, Ryobi adds a bit of storage on the creeper end with slots for hand tools and small parts and other slots to hang items with hooks like a tape measure or power tool.
The added functionality doesn’t end there as this has a built in LINK rail on the left side for even more storage options with LINK compatible Ryobi storage products such as their little storage bins, and even one single organizer bin is included.
This creeper/seat will be available May 2025 for $159 as a baretool, meaning no battery or charger are included. This helps keep the cost down as an add on tool to existing Ryobi 18V users.
