A new Ryobi 18V cordless light has been spotted by Josh and it’s the Ryobi 18V ONE+ Evercharge area light kit P784K (kit) P784 P784N (baretool).

What’s interesting about this new cordless light is that it has the Evercharge naming. Up until now, the Evercharge branding was only found on select Ryobi cordless vacuums that had built in charging through a custom made dock. Obviously this new Evercharge light is not a vacuum however since it’s an Evercharge tool it also has built in charging and uses a custom made dock. Batteries are still interchangeable making it part of the Ryobi 18V One+ family of over 100 tools.

What’s neat about the dock is that you can wall mount the dock so you have a light ready for use at all times and takes away the fuss of having to remove batteries and fiddling with separate chargers.

This light is an area light with light output in 360 degrees and also light facing upwards. It has a decent 400 lumens of light output at it’s highest setting and also has medium and low light settings to tone it down. Don’t expect room filling light at it’s highest setting as 400 lumens brightness spread out to all directions will be good for lighting up nearby objects in close proximity only. This would make a good lantern for camping! It also features a built in USB port so it can double as a power source for your mobile devices on the go. Additional features include a metal handle that lays flat when not in use, an emergency strobe mode, and goes auto on when docked and there’s a power outage.

Pricing is $79.97 for the kit that comes with 1.3 ah budget battery on the HD site available now. Thanks to DrewBHAM for the pricing and availability update!
