I just got word from Ryobi that they are releasing another 18V One+ HP compact brushless power tool and it’s a hammer drill this time model PSBHM01B .

As you can see in the image above, it’s a sub compact 18V power tool with the size of a 12V tool, just like their original One+ HP compact brushless drill. This hammer drill does come in a little longer than the compact brushless drill since it does include the added hammer drilling mechanism however it’s still very compact at 6.7 inches in length. It’s roughly the size of the Gen 2 Milwaukee M12 Fuel hammer drill which is very tiny however this is an 18V tool that runs on Ryobi’s abundant 18V battery system. Other than the hammer drilling feature and slightly longer length, it shares much in common with it’s drill driver brother with the same specs like an ample 400 in-lbs max torque and 0-450,0-1700 RPM two speed gearbox. The body and rest of the features are the same also like a plastic 1/2″ ratcheting chuck and LED light on the base of the tool. This will be a great drill for someone that needs to do some light hammer drilling and a small drill with decent power. I do wish they would include a belt clip which should only cost Ryobi a few cents to include and would make it more convenient to use.
It will launch on February 2021 according to Ryobi for $99 as a baretool.
