When Ryobi introduced their new 18V HP compact brushless tools, they started off with a bang with compact cordless power tools with a good power to size ratio. As part of that original lineup was a also a compact impact wrench sporting a 3/8″ anvil and it had a humble beginning. This new model kicks it up a notch, actually a few with a 1/2″ friction ring anvil, more power in the form of 275 ft-lbs of torque, a die cast gear case, and a proper tri beam LED light system up front for better lighting with less shadows than a single LED light system. This new model also features a 4 mode drive control with 3 speeds and an auto mode similar to the 3/8″ model. This new model has a crazy amount of torque (275 ft-lbs) for such a compact model which is surprising coming out from the Ryobi camp! That’s almost as much torque as their older and much larger 300 ft-lbs impact wrench from ages ago.
This new Ryobi 18V One+ HP compact brushless 1/2″ impact wrench will be available in October 2022 for $139 as a baretool.
