Ryobi RY40530 40V 14 Inch Brushless Chainsaw

Last week I wrote about a bunch of new 40V OPE tools from Ryobi were coming out, here’s another one with the Ryobi RY40530 40V 14 Inch Brushless Chainsaw.

The new Ryobi RY40530 40V Chainsaw uses a brushless motor to power a 14 inch bar and chain. It has a rear handle design with the battery sitting between the blade/motor and handle at the bottom of the tool.

It uses a Dual-stud design for improved bar and chain retention which seems to be where the market is headed. I think that besides Dewalt, tool-less to adjust or change blade features are extinct on new cordless chainsaw models in favor of the reliability of double stud designs.

It’s going to retail at $199 as a kit with a 4.0ah battery and charger making it a very good value for a cordless chainsaw.

A big thanks to DrewBHAM for spotting and sharing!
