Uniburr – The drill powered deburring tool

Have any damaged bolt or screw threads? You can use the Uniburr deburring tool to repair threads so they can accept nuts again.

I know I’ve been in this situation before. I’ve had this problem when setting framed walls with wedge concrete anchors. At first I would drill out the hole, then hammer in the wedge anchor only to find out the hammer damaged the threads and would no longer accept a nut to tighten. To solve this issue I’d have to bust out my angle grinder with a cut off wheel and remove the damaged portion of the bolt. Problem was that sometimes the cut off wheel would fold over bits of the tip and I’d be in the same problem I had started with so I’d either have to be very careful when cutting or do more work and use a grinding wheel to make a chamfer to be able to place the nut to tighten the anchor. I’ve since then place the nut onto the thread before hammering and it saves me a lot of hassle.

Anyway’s a deburring tool such as the Uniburr would come in very handy with these types of situations where there’s damage on bolt threads.

The Uniburr is a drill powered accessory that goes into your drill chuck and rotates to cut away the damaged edges of the bolt threads leaving a nice clean chamfered edge that is ready to accept nuts to be threaded on.

It works on bolts, screws to make damaged threads nut ready and it can be used on other materials like rebar, stock, and pipes for deburring.
