According to Klein Tools, this LAN Scout Jr. 2 data cable tester is the “next generation” of cable testing, not to be confused with the Picard series of Star Trek. It is designed to take all the functionality of their previous LAN Scout Jr tester and improve on it. The backlit screen is larger, and the three button interface is said to be more intuitive and they also moved from button cell batteries to AAA’s are much appreciated improvements over the previous model.
