AEG / Ridgid 18V Brushless 10″ Sliding Miter Saw In Action Video

I wrote about the AEG branded 18V Brushless 10″ Sliding Miter Saw a while back. Click here to see the original post.

It’s still a tool that hasn’t been available as a Ridgid branded saw here in the USA but for those of you curious about the new cordless 10″ sliding miter saw, you can see it in action in the above video clip.

It’s nice to see that it can cut what seems to be a 4×4 post in one pass, so no need to flip it over to make two cuts.

I hope this saw makes it’s way here to the USA as a Ridgid.

The AEG 18V 10″ brushless sliding miter saw may resemble Ryobi’s latest cordless 18V brushless 10″ sliding miter saw in many ways, and even uses two 18V batteries like the Ryobi model, but the AEG saw uses two 18V batteries to extend the runtime and not for added performance like on the 36V Ryobi saw. But unlike the Ryobi model, the AEG can operate on only one 18V battery so you don’t need 2 batteries to run, unless you need extra runtime.

Right on the video it says “use 2 batteries for added run time and power.

Ryobi’s 10 inch saw uses 2 18v batteries for more power 36V power while AEG’s model doesn’t give added 36V power like what you get on the Ryobi model – so AEG still 18V power whether one or two batteries installed.
