Klein Tools GFCI Receptacle Tester with LCD RT250

Klein Tools has released a new GFCI receptacle tester with LCD model number RT250 . What’s interesting about this outlet tester is its large backlit LCD that displays the necessary info to tell you if the wiring is correct and if not tells you specifically what’s wrong. There’s no need to compare 3 lights to the code pattern like other outlet testers. The screen also has an auto hold feature so that you can remove the tester from an awkward spot and still be able to tell whether the wiring was correct or not. This is useful in areas where viewing the info screen is not easy to do. I also like the easy to use nature of this model with two lights at the front that either tell you correct wiring or not, and if not you can proceed to the display to check the specific reason. It also features detection of Open Neutral and Open Ground wiring fault at the same time. Other features include the GFCI tester function and also tells you how long it took to trip along with an interesting feature not usually seen on outlet testers, the ability to detect how much voltage is running. It does require 2 AAA batteries which is a bummer on an outlet tester however they are needed for it’s advanced funtions like data auto-hold and Open Neutral/Open Ground wiring fault. A lot of features packed into this device and is only priced at $19.97, available now.
