Klein Tools has announced a new 2 color LED headlamp model 56414 that can be worn with or without a hard hat.

As you can see above, the Klein headlamp offers a nice strap and has the ability to be charged so no need to fiddle with swapping batteries and paying for them. The main feature of this headlamp is the fact that it can output two colors, regular white and red. The white light is useful in ordinary applications where light of any kind is needed and the red light uses low intensity LED’s which Klein says are for nonblinding night vision.
The light head itself can be removed making for easy recharging with its included cable and a built in battery gauge shows the user how much juice is left. The light head also has a magnet to allow attaching to metal surfaces for a hands free work light. The fabric strap has a marker and pencil holder. The light pivots which allows for up to a 64 degree lighting angle. Klein says their new headlamp can withstand drops and has a drop test rating of 10 feet and is also dustproof and water resistant.
