Klein Tools has designed a new hard hat light not designed to light up the area but instead as a safety light so that you can be seen and keep you safe. This light is the Klein Tools Rechargeable Safety Lamp with Magnet 56063.

It works much in the same principle as a rear bike light does for a night time rider and gives off a bright red light that speaks “I’m here, watch out!” But rather than lighting up the rear of a bike, it lights up the rear of a hard hat so you can be spotted at night or in low light environments or even as Klein mentions, in active, noisy, and or bright environments. This light helps you to stand out and be noticed and thus to keep you safe from harm crashing into you because it didn’t spot you.
The light gives off a red light and has a unique quad directional pattern so the user can be spotted from above, the sides, or directly facing the light. It’s designed to be attached to the rear of Klein safety helmets and hard hats and is said to have a 1/4 mile visibility and up to 50+ hours of runtime and also has a built in magnet for hands free use off helmet. For toughness, it has a IP65 rating and a 10 foot drop rating. It is rechargeable and I like that Klein has made it modern with a USB-C cable connection. And yes the USB cable is included.
