Makita 18V Cordless Tower Lights DML813 & DML814 And Cordless / Corded Work Light DML811

Makita has announced three more cordless work lights with two tower lights the DML813 & DML814 and also a hybrid cordless and corded work light the DML811.

Milwaukee has been successful with their original M18 rocket tower lights and we know this because they made several 18V versions also made a M12 version. And other manufacturers like Dewalt have made one as well. Makita didn’t want to lose out on the cordless tower light action and have come up with two of them with the DML813 & DML814 models. Both models offer the same built in stand that opens and closes up for easy setup and storage and extending tower so users don’t need to bring tripods to mount the lights. The heads pivot in most directions and the difference between the two models is the 813 model is a single large LED head while the 814 is considered the multidirectional model as it’s head has three independent lights that can be positioned independently. The towers can extend up to 7-1/4 feet high and both offer up to 3000 lumens of brightness in high and can get up to 8 hours of runtime on the low setting and up to 2 hours on high setting when used with a 5.0 ah battery. These lights are battery powered only with a single 18v battery and cannot be connected to ac power.

A big thanks to James Willacker for spotting!

The other work light is similar to DML809 model since it has the same pivoting base and hybrid ac and battery power modes. The main differences with the DML811 is that it runs on a single 18V battery and puts out 3000 lumens on High, 1,500 lumens on medium, and 750 lumens on Low. It has Dust / water-resistant construction (IP65 rated) for improved operation in harsh job site conditions. You can get up to 13 hours of runtime on low or 3 hours on high with a 6.0ah battery or unlimited runtime on AC power.
