Milwaukee M18 Fuel Brush Cutter 3015-20 – Features
A brush cutter is similar in design and function to a string trimmer but with the oomph to cut tall overgrowth. This is thanks to the use of a 9″ brush cutter blade which looks like a crude ninja star. It makes quick work of tough brush. Milwaukee actually has a brush cutter prior to this model, however that was a QUIK-LOK attachment. This is their first standalone brush cutter.
Being a Milwaukee M18 Fuel model, it also sports a powerful brushless motor and runs on their popular M18 18 volt batteries. Milwaukee says it has the ability to sustain power underload without bogging down. It uses a straight shaft with large dual handles. This helps with maneuverability.
It also includes a shoulder/chest harness to help keep the load off your arms. This definitely helps reducing fatigue as most of the weight would otherwise be on your arms.
I’m a big fan of their M18 Fuel string trimmer, I have the original and I appreciate this brush cutter having a shoulder harness. As my arms would get tired after a while, so I know the value of a harness/strap.
Wouldn’t it be great if it could also be used as a string trimmer?
It actually can be used as a string trimmer. A string trimmer head is included for just that use. It uses uses dual line with line thickness of 0.080” / 0.095”. The head also features bump feed. A trimmer head removal tool is also included to switch back to brush cutter mode.
Other features include two selectable speeds. This helps you choose between full power or conserve battery juice.
