Milwaukee’s inverter runs on any M18 battery to supply AC power via it’s single 120V AC port and provides 175 watts which is slightly more than Ryobi’s 150W model that runs on their 18V batteries which I reviewed here. With 175W of AC power you’ll be able to power small electronics like lights, Small flat panel LCD TV’s, lights, even some fans and other small low power electronics.

Also like Ryobi’s inverter, the Milwaukee also supplies two USB ports so you can charge your mobile devices on the go. However while Ryobi’s model only offers two USB type A ports at 2.4A, Milwaukee does include one as well but the other USB port is a USB type C port with Power Deliver (45W) so it will be able to fast charge mobile devices that are Power Delivery capable. That means I can finally fast charge my phone from a Milwaukee product!

Through its integrated (1) AC 120V outlet, (1) USB-C Power Delivery (PD) port, and (1) USB-A port, users can quickly charge up to three devices at the same time without the barriers of speed throttling. Milwaukee® is the first to incorporate USB-C Power Delivery charging technology on a power tool battery platform.

Considering the new M18 Top Off inverter is considerably taller than their standard M18 power source, even though it’s still relatively small, they used the extra real estate on one side to include a rafter hook so you can hang it on something like a 2×4 as seen in the above pic.

The new Milwaukee M18 Top Off inverter is set to launch November 2020 for $99.

  • AC 120V Outlet
  • USB-C PD (45W) Port
    • Compatible with USB-C Cables
  • USB-A (2.4A) Port
  • Weight (Bare Tool): 0.8 lbs
  • 5-year warranty
