As you can see in the image above, it is a small flashlight that easily fits in your hand and could easily slip into your pocket and the built in clip makes it easy to store on your belt. A rating of 1200 lumens makes it a very bright and capable light. It’s not the brightest light in the world but 1200 lumens is still very bright, especially for its small size.

Above we can see the charging case that it comes with in the premium edition. The design of the case reminds me of a blend of a Zippo style lighter and a true wireless earbuds charging case and essentially works the same as a TWS earbuds charging case. The case charges the flashlight and can be reused to recharge the light again and is said to be able to provide enough charge to power the light up to 94 days per Olight, with recharging of course. The case itself can be recharged when its internal battery is depleted with the supplied USB-C charge cable.

The light has your standard 3 brightness settings of high/medium/low plus turbo setting to get the max 1200 lumens otherwise you get 300 lumens on “high” and goes as low as 12 lumens on low setting. You get up to 33 hours of runtime on the 12 lumens low setting but there’s also a “moon” setting of 0.5 lumen that lets you get up to 20 days of runtime. That’s probably how they’re able to say this gets up to 96 days of usage with the “moon” mode and I would imagine half a lumen is pretty dim and probably has very little uses for. Probably good for when going to the restroom in the middle of the night so that it’s bright enough so you don’t crash into walls but low enough so you don’t wake yourself up all the way making it difficult to go back to sleep.

What’s interesting about the turbo mode is that Olight lists that mode at 1200~300 lumens and has a runtime rating of 1.5 minutes + 75 minutes. That makes it sound as though you’ll only get to use the 1200 lumens for a very short 1.5 minutes before it switches over to its normal high setting of 300 lumens for another hour and 15 minutes. I wonder if this is because the LED chip or battery or both may overheat on its 1200 lumen setting which means you can’t use the 1200 lumens setting all the time which is a bummer considering they market this light as 1200 lumens so you would think it’s good for 1200 lumens all the time. I think they should instead market this as a 300 lumen flashlight that can also do the occasional 1200 lumens. An interesting feature the light has is that the back end is magnetic so you can attach it to ferrous metals for hands free operation.

The normal everyday price for this light with included charging case is $99.95.

The portable charger makes the battery life reach up to 94 days in 0.5 lumen “moon” mode
