Ridgid 18V Brushless 4 Mode 3/4″ High Torque Impact Wrench R86312B – Features
Ridgid adds a 3/4 inch option for their brushless high torque impact wrench offerings. This makes it the larger sibling to the R86212B 1/2″ model that we learned about in 2021. In fact, it appears that this new 3/4″ model is based on the 1/2″ model. This is because the max nut busting torque figure is the same at 1,300 ft-lbs. We also learn that this new 3/4″ model has 900 ft-lbs of max fastening torque. These are strong numbers for a high torque impact wrench though many high torque impact wrench models such as those from Milwaukee and other brands offer more powerful models in 1/2″ and even greater in 3/4″ flavor. So this new Ridgid 3/4″ though strong, isn’t going to turn heads.
It is a 4 mode impact wrench which means it has 3 selectable speeds and a 4th mode called auto-tightening mode. This mode automatically stops when fastening bolts to prevent damage. And in reverse delivers full breakaway torque and then stops when the bolt is loosened.
Other features include a an LED light and die-cast gear box for increased durability.
An optional protective boot is also available to protect your valuable purchase.

It is stated to launch in March 2024 for $279 as a baretool however I found that it was available for sale at the time of writing.
