Ridgid 18V Brushless Reciprocating Saw USA Model Now Available

We learned about the new Brushless 18V reciprocating saw from Ridgid not that long ago but at the time it was only spotted in Canada but we didn’t know when or if it was going to come out in the USA. Luckily for us, Cody Robertson, Jim Kopriva, and Joshua B. have wrote in about the new brushless recip saw from Ridgid being spotted over at Home Depot as the USA model. Not only that, previously all we had to go by was a drawing of the new tool but now we have an actual picture to go by.

According to the USA spec model, the stroke length is the same as the Canadian model at 1-1/8″ however the SPM (strokes per minute) is slightly higher at 3,200 SPM vs 3,100 SPM on the Canadian model. I find it weird the stats would differ even if only a slight difference between the two models.

Just about all the other features from the Canadian model carry over to the USA model such as the on/off orbital settings, pivoting shoe, keyless extending shoe, keyless blade change, LED light, and grip light button are all present on both models.

The new Ridgid 18V brushless reciprocating saw is available as a kit with two 4.0ah batteries and charger and will retail for $199 at the time of writing.
