What is a cordless snow shovel? It’s basically a smaller more portable snow blower on a stick. It has a form factor similar to that of a string trimmer. This would be ideal as a compliment for a larger snow blower. To get where a normal sized unit can’t reach. Or by itself if you have a smaller section of snow to clear each year.

Ryobi 40V Cordless 12″ Wheeled Snow Shovel – Features

Ryobi has made cordless snow shovels before but they’ve been for their 40V system. This 40V model is one of their latest snow shovel models. There are two major differences between this new model and previous 40V snow shovels. The previous models are Expand-It models and brushless. Being Expand-It models meant they were two piece units. With motor base and attachment head.

This new model is a one piece standalone design with a brushed motor. This model features 12 inches of clearing width. With 6 inches of clearing depth. And it has the power to throw snow up to 25 feet away. The same as their best 40V brushless model. It also has two speed trigger for adjustable control.

Another difference between this new model and the previous 40V is that it has a two wheel design. This makes it easier to push and roll.

The Ryobi 40V 12″ Wheeled Cordless Snow Shovel is set to launch November 2022. It will be priced as a baretool model RY408013BTL for $249. It’s priced at $329 as a kit RY408130 which comes with a 4ah battery and charger.
