WORX 20V Power Share Portable Inflator WX092L

I just got word from Worx that they will be releasing a new 20V battery powered tire inflator called the Power Share Portable Inflator WX092L .

This new battery powered Worx inflator works on their 20V power share batteries and can inflate car tires and household inflatables like air mattresses, beach balls, etc. with the built in attachments. The attachments store on the front of the tool. Overall it’s a smaller cordless inflator but it does at least offer the ability to work up to 150 PSI according to Worx and has an LCD screen to set the desired PSI and stops when it reaches it, so you set it and forget it. It also features an LED light up in front that outputs 100-200 lumens to help at night. This is a high pressure inflator only meaning it’s best used for anything that requires high pressure, low volume like tires. It does come attachments for pumping inflatables like air mattresses and beach balls, however those are better suited for an inflator that provides low pressure and high volume which will no doubt offer much faster inflation times for these types of inflatables. It’s priced at $69.99 as a baretool and as a kit for $99.99 with a 2.0ah battery and charger.

My Thoughts:

It is very small and while I don’t doubt it’s rated 150 PSI performance, I expect it to be slow to get there, slower than other cordless models with a similar price point. In my opinion the pricing is a bit high when compared to the competition. For example, the similar featured Ryobi P737D model is priced at $36.97 as a baretool (at time of writing) although it doesn’t include a light. Ryobi even offers a larger more featured unit that also offers the additional feature of low pressure/high volume inflation which is better suited for air mattresses, this model is the Ryobi P747 and is priced at $49.98 at time of writing, and also doesn’t include a light. However this is a much larger unit than the Worx so may provide faster inflation in theory. I’m not trying to push the Ryobi models on anyone considering the Worx, however one simply cannot ignore there are lower priced alternatives out there if deciding on a baretool.
