Ridgid 18V Brushless Auger
Though an 18V power tool, this powered auger runs on two batteries. No mention if both are required to operate in this announcement. It features a brushless motor to power an 8 inch auger with high and low speed plus reverse. An anti-kickback system protects you from whiplash. Ridgid states you can get max performance with their Max Output batteries.
No specific launch date other than 2023. It will come as a baretool or a kit with two 4.0 ah batteries and charger. Prices not mentioned in original announcement.
Like many of the new Ridgid 18V outdoor power tools announced today, this one is similar to its AEG counterpart. AEG is what Ridgid power tools are called outside the USA. AEG has a similar dual battery 2x18V (36V) Fusion brushless auger. The AEG is verified to use both to run both batteries for 36 volts.. Though not exactly the same tool as it has a different exterior motor body and runs a larger 250mm (9.8 inch) auger.
Specs:
- Dual 18V batteries deliver powerful gas-like digging performance
- Anti-kickback system for increased user control
- High and low speed and reverse operation for increased productivity
- Includes Quick-Connect 8 in. earth auger bit
- 100% Compatible: Works with all RIDGID 18V Batteries and Chargers
- Maximum Performance. Longer Runtime.

Ridgid 18V Brushless Pruner
The pruner is the tool that makes sense when you want to cut branches too thick for a hedge trimmer. Or the branches are on the smaller side for a chainsaw and you don’t want a bulky heavy tool. The pruner’s one handed small lightweight design makes more sense in these instances.
It features a brushless motor and has a 1-1/4 inch cut capacity. It has a less than a second cut cycle and can get up to 2,750 cuts per charge with a 2.0ah battery. Ridgid states you can get max performance with their Max Output batteries.
No specific launch date other than 2023. It will come as a baretool or a kit with a 2.0 ah battery and charger. Prices not mentioned in original announcement.
This pruner also appears to be very similar to the AEG 18V brushless model. Both look very similar and have similar features.
Specs:
- 1-¼ in. cut capacity
- Delivers 2,750 cuts per charge with included 18V 2.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery
- Steel blades with bypass cutting action to deliver clean cuts
- Less than 1-second cutting cycle
- LED light for improved visibility in low-light situations
- 100% Compatible: Works with all RIDGID 18V Batteries and Chargers
- Maximum Performance. Longer Runtime.
- Pair with MAX Output batteries for maximum power

Ridgid 18V 4 Gallon Backpack Sprayer
Out of all the new power tools in today’s announcement, this one doesn’t feature a brushless motor. A powered sprayer reduces hand fatigue from manual pumping. The backpack drum keeps the weight off your arms as well. It has a 4 gallon tank capacity with padded adjustable straps and hip harness. Features up to 105 PSI and up to 37 ft spray distance with an adjustable flow rate knob. Ridgid states you can get max performance with their Max Output batteries.
It comes with 4 nozzles for a variety of spraying options. The include: adjustable, flat fan, dual, and shower.
No specific launch date other than 2023. It will come as a baretool or a kit with a 2.0 ah battery and charger. Prices not mentioned in original announcement.
This Ridgid sprayer also looks similar to the AEG 18V sprayer that was spotted in 2018. It looks to be based on the original AEG design but with a few tweaks. For instance the battery compartment on the Ridgid is different and covers the battery with a door. The Ridgid is also only compatible with Ridgid 18V batteries. The AEG is compatible with 58V batteries.
Specs:
- Delivers 105 gallons per charge with no pumping required
- Adjustable flow rate knob for precise application
- Up to 105 PSI and up to 37 ft. spray distance
- Includes 4 nozzles for versatile spraying: adjustable, flat fan, dual, and shower
- Comfortable backpack design with padded, adjustable shoulder straps and hip harness
- Translucent tank for easy fluid reference
- Ideal for use with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and most other lawn and garden chemicals
- 100% Compatible: Works with all RIDGID 18V Batteries and Chargers
- Maximum Performance. Longer Runtime.
- Pair with MAX Output batteries for maximum power
- Lifetime Service Agreement with registration within 90 days of purchase
Ridgid 18V 12.0 Ah Battery
The one new product in the announcement with zero product info is new 12.0 ah battery. Other than its existence and it coming out in 2023, we don’t know much about it. They did include an image as shown above. It shows us that it is indeed a large 18V battery as all 15 cell batteries are. And it also has the Max Output EXP naming. We’ll have to wait and see for more info and to see what type of cells are used.
