RYOBI 18V HP Brushless 4 Mode Mid Torque 1/2″ Impact Wrench PBLIW25B
Ryobi’s latest 18V HP brushless mid torque 1/2″ wrench uses a powerful brushless motor to put out serious torque numbers at 650 ft-lbs of breakaway torque. Fastening torque is 500 ft-lbs. I remember over a decade ago when a high torque impact wrench put out 300 ft-lbs of breakaway torque and this does over double that. Of course there are still far more powerful impact wrenches but of course, those are in the modern high torque class. This fits nicely in the mid torque segment that’s more compact than high torque models while still putting out serious torque specs.
This model is 18% more compact and over 30% faster driving than the PCL265 model.
An impact wrench is perfect for automotive work disassembling and reassembling components under the hood. They’re also good in the construction industry putting down thick lags deep into wood and working with concrete anchors.
The 1/2″ anvil with friction ring makes for quick, easy, and secure socket changes with all 1/2″ impact rated sockets.
Ryobi’s HP brushless models are not only high performance in class, but also well spec’d. This is no different here as this model features 3 speeds and a 4th “auto assist” mode. This mode offers controlled fastening by automatically slowing and stopping to help prevent over-tightening.
We also find their Tri-Beam triple LED light system on the head of the tool for premium lighting. This triple light setup helps reduce shadows when working with fasteners.
Other features include a durable die cast gear case, durable overmolding, and the ability to add a belt clip although you’ll have to get one separately.
It will be available August 2026 and is priced at $199.
