Ridgid K9-12 Flexshaft Drain Cleaning Machine – Features
The new Ridgid K9-12 Flexshaft drain cleaning machine is the newest addition to the Flexshaft family. It being the smallest of the group, it is designed for residential use while the larger units are designed for commercial use.
The K9-12 Flexshaft unit has a fully housed cable that can clear up to 30 feet of 1-1/4″-2″ pipe. The cable itself is flexible and has a protective sheath. This keeps it fully enclosed for less mess and faster cleanup according to Ridgid.
The Flexshaft cable is designed to spin quickly. The unit itself is not motorized and is dependent on an external drill to rotate the cable. A drill is not included. Please use a drill with 1800-2500 RPM to rotate and spin the cable. The cable end uses a chain to scrape pipe walls to clear them out.
The chain is user replaceable and has collars that fasten it to the Flexshaft cable. A hex key is included to do so and there is onboard storage for the hex key so it doesn’t get lost.
