Ryobi has announced a new 18V bucket top wet dry vacuum which they claim is the industry’s most powerful. Let’s check it out.

Ryobi 18V Bucket Top Wet / Dry Vacuum – Features

We’ve seen bucket top vacuums before with Bucket Head model coming first to mind. These bucket top vacuums like their name suggests, fit atop a 5 gallon bucket for an easy portable vac. And while these bucket top vacs tend to be corded units, Ryobi’s entry is cordless and powered by their 18V battery.

Being completely cordless means you’ll have ultimate portability. Just carry the unit with you wherever needed.

Ryobi says this is the industry’s most powerful bucket top vac. However they don’t provide any suction rating stats – bummer. But after doing some research I found out that the Bucket Head corded model is rated at 1.75 peak HP and rated for about 45 CFM of suction power. So it’s safe to say the Ryobi should be just as powerful if not slightly more but that’s just my educated guess. Keep in mind that Milwaukee’s OG M18 brushed motor 2 gallon vac is also rated at 45 CFM so Ryobi sharing the same tech should have no issue matching that.

As far as features go, the included hose is 4 feet long and 1-1/4″ in diameter. It also has a blower port for 2in1 functionality. The battery port is on top with the battery exposed and all. Usually wet dry vacs come with sealed battery compartments so this might be a cost effective move by Ryobi.

Also included is a cloth filter with rubber band to fit onto the bottom and a crevice nozzle attachment.
