Now we learn official release info. It’s 8″ bar and chain is rated to be able to cut up to 6 inch diameter branches. The trigger is variable speed. It can make up to 65 cuts into 2×4 lumber per charge with a 2ah battery. We also learn that it uses an oil-free design just like the original 6″ brushless pruning chainsaw. It uses a tooled chain tensioning system and has onboard storage for the included tool.
It will be available in December 2023 for $149 as a baretool PSBCW01B and will be priced at $179 as a kit PSBCW01K. Kit comes with a 2ah battery and charger.

Here is the second new 18V pruning chainsaw. This model is also a 6 inch like the original however unlike the other two, it does not sport a brushless motor. This is good ol’ brushed motor tech right here. Most likely to satisfy the needs of those on a tighter budget but with a similar design to the original. Still another one handed chainsaw and also sporting the oil-free design. Ryobi assures us that it’s ok not to use oil as they’ve reduced the chain speed and have run extensive testing. Though it doesn’t sport a brushless motor, it can still manage over 50 cuts into 2×4 yellow pine with a 2ah battery.

New info includes the ability to cut up to 4 inch diameter branches. A new runtime measure is included as well, it can make up to 175 cuts per charge when paired with an optional 6ah battery. Keep in mind the kit comes with a 2ah battery that can make up to 50 cuts per charge. It has a chainguard that protects against kickback and has a variable speed trigger. It uses a tool-less chain tensioning design.

There isn’t much new info here but I’ll list what little there is new. The 24″ dual action hardened steel blades are said to minimize vibration. This hedge trimmer has a lightweight design although no weight numbers are provided at time of the press release. The HEDGESWEEP debris remover is said to quickly remove clippings while working. With the 40V 2ah battery you can expect up to 144 minutes of runtime.

This here is a decent blower at a decent price point. 350 CFM at 100 MPH is decent performance good for blowing dry leaves and grass off of hard surfaces. It weighs in at under 7 lbs although not mentioned if that’s with a battery or just the baretool. It doesn’t have any fancy bells or whistles, it just works with decent performance at a budget price point. It includes a variable speed trigger and key hole slot for wall hanging.

This is Ryobi’s lightest weight string trimmer at only 3.3 lbs though no mention if that’s with a battery or just the baretool. Not only is it light on weight but also light on the wallet and on features. For example, it has a 8-10 inch cutting swath and uses single 0.065″ line. A brushed motor and single speed. The shaft is able to twist rotate for easy edging. Ryobi says this trimmer is good for small yards.
