Ryobi 18V Multi-Size Ratchet Wrench – Features
Ryobi has just come out with a new cordless 18V ratchet model. This model’s standout feature is that it has replaceable drive anvils. This gives it the ability to have 3 in 1 socket drives of 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ drive. It is tool-less to swap drive anvils.
In the above image, we see a double ended piece with 1/4″ and 3/8″ drive anvils.
Above we see the 1/2″ drive anvil to drive 1/2″ sockets.
This anvil also doubles as a 1/4″ hex bit holder to give it the ability to drive fastener bits.
It features a brushed motor that produces 35 ft-lbs torque with 260 RPM, also has a 4 position rotating head, dual LED lights, and a variable speed multi-finger metal paddle trigger.
With the exception of it’s swappable drive head and slightly faster RPM, it’s basically identical in body, features, and specs as the 3/8″ P344 18V ratchet. No doubt they repurposed the existing design of the original P344 model and added a new hot swappable head. The good news with this new model is that you don’t have to buy another cordless tool if you need additional drive sizes. Or you can keep your existing cordless ratchet and buy a few dollar socket drive adaptor.

It will be available in August 2023 for $119 as a baretool PCL280B. It will also be available in kit form PCL280K1 for $159 and comes with a 1.5ah battery and charger.
