Makita announced 3 new tools for April 2024 including a new XGT 40V pressure washer, 40V HEPA filter upright vacuum, and a new 1″ SDS Plus rotary hammer with D-Handle & HEPA dust extractor set. Let’s check them out below.

Makita 40V Max XGT Pressure Washer GWH01
Makita adds to the list of the few power tool brands to make a battery powered pressure washer. This pressure washer runs on their 40V Max XGT batteries and provides 1300 PSI at 1.5 GPM on its highest setting. It provides three performance settings.
The 1300 PSI isn’t the strongest pressure washer out there and not even the strongest in the 40 volt category but will offer sufficient performance. It’s well below the max recommended pressure for washing cars making it safe for use with vehicle paint as long as you use a “wide” nozzle such as a 40 degree nozzle. GPM is on the higher side and this rating stands for the gallons per minute that it uses. Many pressure washers run at 1.2 GPM even at higher pressures and this model does 1.5 which means it will use up a bit more water in the same time frame. Keep that in mind if you are water usage conscious.
It has a two battery bay for use with up to two batteries. It only runs on one battery at a time and automatically switches to the next battery when one is depleted. Makita says you can get up to 1 hour of runtime when used with two 5ah batteries. They didn’t list which setting so most likely on the lowest setting. Expect considerably less runtime on the high setting.
Makita will also provide an assortment of optional accessories for use with this and other pressure washers. Accessories such as a longer hose, foam canon, and swivel joint to name a few.
It is available now and priced at $699 as a baretool.

Makita 40V Max XGT Brushless Cordless 1.3 Gallon HEPA Filter 15″ Upright Vacuum
GCV09L1 – Kit; GCV09Z – Baretool
This new upright vacuum features a HEPA fitlter that captures 99.97% of particulates .3 microns and larger. This vacuum has received the CRI Gold Seal of Approval certified by the Carpet and Rug Institute for commercial use. It runs on Makita 40V XGT batteries and when paired with a 8ah battery can get up to 160 minutes on low and up to 40 minutes on high setting.
Suction performance is rated for 64 CFM of suction and 60″ of water lift and offers a cleaning path of 15 inch width. It offers 3 speeds, and lights in front to help in low light and comes in handy when vacuuming under tables and desks.
It’s available now and it certainly aint cheap as it’s priced at $1499 as a kit with 8ah battery and charger.

Makita Corded 1″ SDS Plus AVT Rotary Hammer D-Handle w/ HEPA Dust Extractor HR2663
This set includes the corded 1″ SDS Plus AVT D-Handle rotary hammer with HEPA dust extractor HR2663. The rotary hammer has a familiar D-Handle shape with its in-line design that adds length which helps when extra reach is needed such as overhead drilling and drilling on the floor when standing or so you don’t have to kneel as much. This model has a powerful 8 AMP motor that delivers 2.1 ft.lbs. of impact energy to handle the most demanding applications. Built in AVT tech for significantly less vibration according to Makita.
The HEPA dust extractor is included and is OSHA Table 1 compliant for Exposure to Respirable Crystalline Silica (rule 1926.1153). It captures 99.97% of particulates .3 microns and larger. The transparent dust container shows you when it’s ready to empty.
