Greenworks 40V 500W 4 Slot Inverter Portable Power Station – Features
The Greenworks portable power station accepts up to four 40V batteries to provide portable power on the go. The left and right sides have two battery bays for a grand total of four batteries. In the front is where we see the LCD display. It provides useful info such as battery capacity monitoring and charging status.
The front of the portable power station is the business end where you’ll find 7 ports. There you’ll find two AC outlets that offer 500 watts each. 5 USB ports as well with 2 USB-A ports (30W max each) and three USB-C ports (65W max each).
You can use a combination of ports at the same time for a max combined total of 755 watts output.
This 40V portable power station can accept any of Greenworks 40V batteries. From their 2.0ah all the way up to their 8.0ah batteries. The above image also lists the watt hour (WH) capacity you can expect when paired with 4 equal capacity batteries. Of course you will be able to mix and match batteries as well.
Portable power stations are excellent for emergency power when the power goes out. You can expect up to 9.6 hours of runtime to power a 100W fridge and 8 hours to power a 120W heated blanket when paired with four 8.0ah batteries.
Portable power sources are also excellent for use on camping trips to provide power in the great outdoors. When paired with four 8.0ah batteries you can expect up to 2.4 hours of a 400W coffee maker or 9.6 hours with a 100W heating mug or up to 96 hours of a 10W lantern.
This portable power station also has the SMARTg home app for smart control. This allows you to check power usage which offers low-battery notifications and access to help all from your mobile device.
Greenworks 40V 500W 4 Slot Inverter Portable Power Station – Recharging
There are several ways to recharge the 40V batteries used with this portable power station. You can use the battery chargers provided with your Greenworks power tools. Another option is to use the included power cord to plug the power station directly to an AC outlet. And you can also use solar panels connected directly to the power station for the ability to recharge when away from outlets.
Greenworks 24V, 60V, and 80V Options Coming Soon
The portable power station in this article only works with Greenworks 40V batteries. We know that Greenworks also has batteries in other voltages such as 24V, 60V, and 80V so what if you have those but none in 40V? Greenworks has your back as they have informed me that they will be coming out with a 24V 500 watt inverter, and 2000 watt portable power stations for their 60V and 80V batteries. We can expect these to come out Fall 2023.
