Ryobi 18V Glue Gun PCL921B – Features
Ryobi is serious about DIY tools and their product lineup clearly shows this. In fact they have several battery powered glue guns available. This new model seems to be an update to their original model. It is a “basic” glue gun model that takes 1/2″ full size glue sticks and runs on their 18V batteries.
I have the original model which is very handy and I like the portability and convenience that’s offered by being battery powered.
Above we have images of the new model on the left and the original on the right. They are both very similar in terms of function, features, and design. Both use full size 1/2″ glue sticks, run on 18V battery power, have two finger triggers, and have slide power switches with indicator LED lights to indicate it’s on.
Where the new model differs besides the the cosmetic tweaks is the fact that it is a bit shorter in length. The new model is also said to be able to accept interchangeable nozzles. I am not sure if the original can do this so it may or may not be a new feature to the new model. However other Ryobi 18V glue guns do have the ability to change nozzles so this feature is not unique to the new glue gun seen here.
Glue guns are useful for all sorts of DIY projects around the home and are very good for craft projects as well. Including glue sticks and high strength adhesives.
The flat bottom battery packs allow it to stand up on it’s own, even without a battery pack installed.
Ryobi 18V Glue Gun PCL921B – Pricing & Availability
It will be available July 2023 for $39.97 as a baretool. This makes it $10 more than the originals MSRP, however it’s actually twice the price of the original actual sale price at the time of writing.
