Ryobi 18V 8A Rapid Charger PCG008 – Charge Speed
Ryobi’s latest 18V charger is their fastest one yet, hence the name rapid charger. This charger provides an 8 amps charging rate which Ryobi says is 4x faster charging than the Ryobi PCG002 charger.
With the debut of new 8ah and 12ah high capacity Ryobi 18V batteries, it makes sense to get a much faster charger so you don’t have to wait hours to charge. Ryobi says that this rapid charger can charge an 8ah battery in about an hour or less. And a 12ah battery in about 90 minutes according to the bar graph above. That’s PDQ (Pretty Darn Quick) charging! We can also expect a 6ah battery in 45 minutes and a more common 4ah battery in 30 minutes. All mentioned batteries being their High Performance variants.
Ryobi 18V 8A Rapid Charger PCG008 – Features
This is a one port battery charger so only one battery charges at a time. The front has LED indicator lights to let you know the state of charge and battery status.
We can also see that the front features two USB ports. A standard USB-A port and USB-C port as well so you can charge your mobile devices.
It also features rubber feet for added slip resistance.
This charger also features key-hole slots for the ability to wall mount.
