Milwaukee M18 Fuel 16 Gauge Straight Finish Nailer – Features
Back in 2016 Milwaukee introduced their revolutionary M18 Fuel cordless nailers. These were among the first cordless nailers with no ramp up time. Then in 2020 and 2021 they re-released their nailers as Gen 2 models with new updates. To continue in that trend, they have now announced a new Gen 2 16 gauge straight finish nailer to fill-in their Gen 2 lineup. This is to allow more options to choose from.
This model follows in the tradition of Gen 2 with a more compact nailer and leaves behind small nail holes for less time spent filling then later. It still offers the power to nail into hardwoods and with zero ramp up time for instant nail fires thanks to its nitrogen gas spring drive system.
16 gauge staples come in either straight or angled configuration and this model uses them in the straight configuration to better suit your workflow.
Just like before, this nailer has a power on button and with the option to use sequential and bump fire modes with LED indicator lights.
At the business end, you’ll find a compact rubber tip and LED light. It also appears to have the ability for easy tool-free nail jam removal just like on their other models. It also offers dry-fire lockout to prevent blank fires when the magazine is empty which unnecessarily damage work surfaces. There’s also a belt clip below the handle for easy hands-free carry.
